The Company:

The successful Test Engineer will have opportunities for support and career progression within this expanding business.

The Role:

  1. Deliver fully functional, tested products following established test procedures.
  2. Take ownership of assigned products and proactively resolve issues.
  3. Adhere strictly to test procedures, ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and signed off.
  4. Consistently meet target times.
  5. Support test time reduction initiatives through Continuous Improvement principles.
  6. Enhance product quality by capturing data (FRACAS), reporting faults accurately, and supporting analysis and corrective actions.
  7. Assist the Test Team Leader in achieving on-time delivery against the manufacturing plan.
  8. Promote quality, Health & Safety, cleanliness, and 5S practices within the test department and related areas.
  9. Support customer pre-acceptance visits.
  10. Encourage 5S principles within the department.
  11. Occasionally visit customer sites for system installation and commissioning support.

About You:

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Time-served Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship, City and Guilds Part 3, or qualified to HND, HNC, or BTech Level 3 (Electrical).
  • Ability to follow test procedures strictly and report results accurately.
  • Skill in diagnosing faults to component level quickly and accurately.
  • Understanding of quality and Health & Safety implications of test procedures.
  • Ability to investigate problems, analyze issues, and suggest solutions.
  • IT literacy.
  • Self-motivated team player capable of working independently and communicating effectively at all levels.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and proactive.
  • High customer focus.
