Our Digital team at Talent Consulting is working on an exciting digital transformation with a public Sector organisation!

We're seeking a proactive and experienced Test Engineer to join our collaborative team. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the quality and accessibility of applications that support some of our most vulnerable customers.

What you'll do:

  • Review requirements, define test conditions, and create manual and automation test scripts (e.g., using Test Complete).
  • Raise and manage defects using tools like JIRA, prioritising them based on severity.
  • Ensure products are Accessibility compliant and meet departmental standards.
  • Evaluate software for bugs, execute test cases, and enhance usability.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, scripts, and reports.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in an agile environment.
  • Produce and maintain robust test automation scripts in a CI/CD environment.
  • Perform non-functional testing for UIs and APIs.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience testing in an agile environment.
  • Proficiency in Java/Selenium, with experience in Playwright or Cypress preferred.
  • A strong understanding of CI/CD approaches and tooling in AWS and Git.
  • A proactive, self-starting attitude, able to work remotely with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent analytical skills to identify testing requirements.
  • The ability to work comfortably with and elicit information from technical and specialist stakeholders.
