About the Role

As our Test Engineer, you’ll be working as part of a multi-disciplinary, agile, data delivery team, focused on delivering innovative, robust, and efficient data solutions to complex business problems. Our wider data team prioritizes the delivery of high-quality, well-modelled, clean, and trustworthy data assets for use across the business.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality of data assets developed for the business.
• Assess appropriate testing levels for each piece of work, plan, execute, and document testing.
• Collaborate with data professionals, partner with other test engineers, data and analytics engineers, data scientists, and data visualization specialists.

Qualifications

• Experience in all parts of the testing process, including planning, estimation, execution, defect management, reporting, and escalation, preferably in a data-related team.
• Test certification such as ISTQB is highly desirable.
• Experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment focused on rapid delivery of business value.
• Proficiency in SQL, capable of writing complex queries and working with large datasets.
• Experience with data testing on platforms such as:
• Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)
• Google Cloud Platform (GCS, Cloud Composer, GKE, Cloud Functions, BigQuery)
• Snowflake Cloud Data Platform
• dBt Data Transformation Framework
• Tableau Data Visualization Platform
