Euro Projects Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Test Engineer – Automotive to join a global automotive R&D leader. The role offers a basic salary of £34,000–£44,000 with a shift premium and potential earnings up to £54,000, plus generous benefits and a rotating shift pattern.

The successful candidate will manage customer test programmes, develop test methodologies, and design rigs, while meeting international standards and contributing to continuous improvement in the facility.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified engineer in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or STEM.
• Engineers from a range of industry backgrounds will be considered.
• Knowledge of instrumentation including transducers, multimeters, data loggers and oscilloscopes.

Responsibilities

• Managing customer test programmes from planning through to final report.
• Developing test methodologies and procedures.
• Designing rigs, jigs and fixtures.
• Carrying out testing to customer and international standards.
• Producing risk assessments and technical documentation.
• Supporting continuous improvement across the test facility.

• The role operates on a rotating weekly shift pattern of 6am–2:30pm and 12pm–8:30pm, with a shift premium. The first three months will be days only.

This Test Engineer job will suit:

• A degree-qualified Engineer in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or a relevant STEM discipline.

• Engineers from a range of industry backgrounds and experience levels will be considered.

• Someone with knowledge of instrumentation, including transducers, multimeters, data loggers and oscilloscopes.

• A confident communicator who can work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.

• Full UK driving licence required.
