Job description

Job Title: Test Engineer
Duration: 3-6 months with possible extension
Location: Cambridge
Rate: Up to £277 per day

My client is looking for a Test Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.
  • Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed.
  • Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.
  • Responsible for testing all customers samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.
  • Responsible for designing, developing and implementing cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment.

Expert:

  • Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business issues, and is regarded as a subject matter expert.
  • Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods.
  • Works on complex problems/projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
  • Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.
  • Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies.
  • Frequently represents the organization to external customers.

Typically a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 6 plus year's related experience or Master's degree and a minimum of 4-6 years experience in Computerized electronic test equipment.
