Job Description

In this role, you will introduce new equipment, design and develop software and hardware required for testing aerospace and military products. Responsibilities include all aspects of test development, from software/hardware design based on requirements, integration testing, test process validation, operator training, and liaising with internal and external customers and suppliers.

Key Accountabilities
  • Participate in developing long-term strategic goals for Electronics Test platforms and applications.
  • Coordinate with Electronics Test management and Project Engineers to support planning, building, commissioning, and procurement aligned with business needs.
  • Review test requirements and define electrical, electronic, and software systems to meet current and future demands.
  • Fault find on test systems and support resolution of technical issues to ensure testing requirements are met.
  • Develop and document policies, procedures, and technologies for controlled development of test platforms and applications.
  • Manage hardware design, development, integration testing, and software control of test systems, including collaboration with external suppliers.
Key Experiences
  • Proficiency in software programming, commissioning, and validation.
  • Strong electronics hardware engineering background, preferably in a test environment involving electronics hardware, instrumentation, and software development.
  • Knowledge of electronics test equipment and instrumentation.
  • Understanding of analogue/digital interfacing circuitry and methodologies, including multiplexers and switching.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team or independently on projects, with effective communication skills in technical and user-friendly language.
Qualifications

Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
