Location: London

Start: 13.01.25

Duration: Ongoing

Rate: £26–£30

Working hours: 7.5 hours daily (09:00–15:00), covering early and late shifts (08:00–16:30 & 11:30–20:00)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Band 6 Biomedical Scientist to join our team at Barts NHS Trust in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to our hematology and blood transfusion services. Responsibilities
  • Conduct hematology and blood transfusion tests using CN, XN, and IH500 analysers.
  • Perform blood film morphology assessments.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of samples.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
  • Adhere to quality control protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support diagnostics and patient outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in hematology and blood transfusion.
  • Proficiency with CN, XN, and IH500 analysers.
  • Strong skills in blood film morphology.
