Job summary

Lorien is seeking a Test Automation Engineer on a contract basis to design and maintain automated test frameworks for cloud data pipelines and applications. You will write Pytest tests in Python, validate data with SQL and PySpark, and ensure tests integrate smoothly into CI/CD pipelines.

Hybrid role in Glasgow, Inside IR35, initial six months. You will raise defects, collaborate with data engineers, and help deliver reliable, release-ready software.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL, ideally with PySpark.
• Databricks or a similar cloud data platform.
• Pytest, plus integration, end-to-end and regression testing.
• Software quality assurance and functional testing.
• Data validation.
• Git and CI/CD, ideally Azure DevOps (GitHub also considered).

Responsibilities
