Job summary

1st Step is seeking a Test and Calibration Engineer in Birmingham. The role starts with training from a senior engineer and progresses to testing and calibrating instrumentation across Midlands facilities, with a strong emphasis on professional development in a practical, field-based environment.

The role covers the Midlands with some UK travel and occasional overnight stays, offering a salary of £30,000–£40,000 plus a Fully Expensed Car, overtime, pension and holiday.

Qualifications

• Instrumentation experience not essential as junior roles available.
• Confident with electrical circuitry and measurement equipment.
• Test and calibration experience is a plus.

Test and Calibration Engineer

Birmingham

£30,000 - £40,000 + Fully Expensed Car + Overtime + Pension + Holiday

The company is a leading provider of test and calibration solutions and works for large manufacturing and industrial companies predominantly across the midlands. They adopt a stress-free environment to work and are big on developing their employees with certificates and qualifications.

In this role you will initially undergo full training with a senior engineer. From here you will work to test and calibrate a range of instrumentation. The role offers door to door pay with approximately 5-10 hours a week overtime due to the travel; pay at time and a half.
