Job description

We are hiring a Test Analyst (Data) to join a global wealth management firm who is embarking on a long term Investment Risk project.

Role Responsibility

  1. Leading and owning the execution of test cases to validate that all the documented requirements have been met.
  2. Working with the Business and Technology to capture detailed expected system results.
  3. Reviewing requirements documentation and where appropriate providing feedback to ensure the requirements are clear and testable.
  4. Working with the Test manager to support the project schedule, and resource model related to the required testing efforts.
  5. Maintaining thorough records of all test execution results using the designated test management tool (JIRA) for project and audit purposes.
  6. Ensuring defects are documented and tracked through to completion using the designated test management tool (JIRA) for project and audit purposes.
  7. Contributing to regular reporting on test progress, defect statistics, and defect resolution to Test Manager.
  8. Actively seeking to identify and acknowledge testing issues and take appropriate corrective actions, escalating as needed.
  9. Contributing to the end of phase reports detailing the test results and presenting the facts to allow the project team to make their decision to sign off.
  10. Actively participating in project phase end review sessions.
  11. Relevant testing experience working with other change and technology professionals.
  12. A good understanding of investment management.
  13. Experience of working with a variety of test management / defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Quality Centre, ADO, etc.).
  14. Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience of producing and following test scenarios and test cases from requirement documentation and execution of those tests.
  15. Ability to work collaboratively with others, showing a positive attitude and being actively involved in solutioning outstanding issues to achieve project and company goals.
  16. Ability to be positively assertive and diplomatic.
  17. Must be a self-starter that works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with a high level of self-time management.
  18. Skilled in understanding business requirements, establishing credibility and building relationships.
  19. Manual and Automation Testing.

Additional knowledge and skills, experience, and training

  1. Experience of LDI products and their history.
  2. Experience with complex Investment Management trading processes.
  3. Experience of data acquisition, data transformation, data quality checks, data presentation, Tableau and BI visualisation tools.
  4. Experience of investment risk data and any investment risk systems.
  5. Strong SQL skills and use of any of AWS, Snowflake, Data Bricks or SQL server.
  6. Familiarity with Aladdin / Aladdin Data Cloud (ADC) would be beneficial.
  7. Experience of test driven development is desirable but not essential.

Duration: 12 months, initially.
Location: London.
Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 remote.
