Job summary

The University of Glasgow is seeking a Test Analyst to support high quality software testing across diverse platforms within Agile/Scrum and Waterfall projects. You will test functional and non-functional aspects, ensuring quality through iterative methods and robust test artifacts.

Responsibilities include planning, executing and automating tests, maintaining regression packs, and collaborating with development and QA teams to improve testing processes and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Proven experience across software lifecycle and testing activities.
• Experience writing test plans and test cases with stakeholders.
• Experience of API testing and test automation.
• Working knowledge of software testing concepts and release lifecycle.
• Familiarity with Jira/Confluence/QMetry workflows is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support development and maintenance of test plans and test cases.
• Create and execute manual and automated test cases.
• Maintain robust regression test packs for projects.
• Coordinate manual and automated regression testing to meet objectives.
• Prepare progress reports and metrics for projects.
• Carry out data validation as part of testing.
• Record findings accurately and clearly.
• Assist Test Manager to improve QA tools and processes.
• Liaise with teams to add tasks to backlogs from testing findings.
• Organise workload across multiple projects to meet timescales.
• Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
