Job summary

Waracle is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join our digital technology consultancy. The role is a fixed-term contract of 7 months, focused on driving quality, scalable automation frameworks, and best practices across the development lifecycle.

Work in a hybrid setup with 2 days per week in our Glasgow or Dundee offices, mentor other QAs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help embed testing throughout strategy, design, and delivery.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of QA best practices and SDLC/Agile.
• Advanced automation skills using Playwright to build scalable testing frameworks.
• Hands-on experience using C# to test web applications.
• Well-rounded testing across functional, non-functional, white-box, and security areas.

Responsibilities

• Define quality approaches and strategies for complex features.
• Build and evolve modular automation components; integrate checks into CI/CD.
• Design and automate tests for performance, security, and accessibility.
• Mentor other QAs and provide constructive feedback through peer reviews.
• Lead QA knowledge-sharing and advocate for accessibility and regression standards.
