ISR RECRUITMENT LIMITED is seeking a Test Agent in Bristol (hybrid). The role focuses on continuous product testing in partnership with developers and product experts, supporting patch releases and sprint planning.

You will test across systems, contribute to testing strategies, and adapt to different client contexts. A strong willingness to learn and experience with the software development lifecycle are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and executing test strategies and test plans.
• Experience testing in an Agile environment with developers and product owners.
• Comfort navigating multiple software packages (CRM, Issue Management, Postman).

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing product testing in collaboration with software developers and product experts.
• Manage testing for fortnightly patch releases and coordinate with the product team during sprints.
• Plan and write testing criteria for major product releases and ensure traceability of tests.

Test Agent

• Bristol, Avon (Hybrid-Working)
• Up to £35,000 per year

Skills and Experience:

• Comfortable navigating different software packages for the purposes of testing or using it to test (CRM, Issue Management, Postman (API), etc.)
• Willing to learn different software and context specific information for different clients
• Experience of software development lifecycle
• Experience of software testing in an Agile environment, working closely with developers and product owners
• Experience of writing testing strategies, test planning, acceptance criteria definition writing, logging faults, features and bugs, documentation of test cases for repeatability
• ISTQB certification in Software Testing or equivalent this is desirable but not essential
• Writing SQL experience
• Automated testing experience

The Opportunity:

Our client based a successful software house are currently on the lookout for a Test Agent on a permanent basis. Ideally, they are looking for someone that will provide ongoing product testing in collaboration with their software developers and product experts. The successful candidate will need to have technical aptitude and enjoy working in and around IT systems. You will also work closely with the support Team and will be managing the testing required to support fortnightly patch releases and this will also incorporate you working with the product team during development sprints to write and plan testing criteria for the major product releases.
