Tesco Shift Leader - Days - Whitchurch Esso Express

Location: Bristol

We are looking for a Shift Leader to join our team. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the store and ensuring that it runs smoothly.

Availability Window:
Days: Sun 15:00-24:00, Mon 09:00-17:00, Wed 05:30-14:30, Thu 10:00-19:00, Fri 05:30-14:30

Our Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £14.76 an hour, increasing to £15.97 for stores inside the M25. We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with opportunities for more or fewer hours depending on your preferences.

As a Shift Leader, you will:

  • Work in a fast-paced retail environment with a variety of tasks
  • Take ownership of running duty shifts and coordinating the team
  • Be there for customers and help to ensure they leave the store with what they came for
  • Look for ways to improve service, including coaching colleagues and giving feedback
  • Maintain a great understanding of how the store is performing and assist managers in delivering actions to improve the store's performance

You will need:

  • To be a great role model and give thoughtful customer service
  • To build strong relationships with colleagues and create a positive team atmosphere
  • To be a clear communicator and comfortable with using various methods to keep the team informed
  • To be comfortable taking the lead and overseeing the store in the absence of the Manager
