Job Summary:

Due to business expansion, we are looking for a Field Based Territory Sales Manager covering one of our London territories on a permanent basis. The territory includes Academia, Clinical, and Biotech accounts.

We seek an experienced individual with a strong track record in sales and a determined approach to networking through large, complex organizations to grow and retain relationships.

Selling laboratory consumables, chemicals, and equipment, so Account Management and Business Development skills are essential. You will immerse yourself in the biotech and Pharma sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of customers across various industries, collaborating closely with product specialists to generate sales and meet targets.
  • Liaise with internal teams and customer departments.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to maximize opportunities, leveraging colleagues' technical skills.
  • Support colleagues in sales activities within their accounts, fostering team spirit.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing excellent support and service.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Reside within a reasonable commute to London.
  • Motivated, proactive, and organized in approach.
  • Experience in account management or business development.
  • At least 5 years of field sales experience, preferably in academia, research, biotech, clinical, pharma, or industrial labs.
  • Enthusiastic about expanding territory performance through new customer acquisition.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Capable of managing and prioritizing workload.
  • Full UK driving license is essential.

Nice to have:

  • A scientific background or understanding to build credibility with customers.
