A Day in the Life

The Territory Sales Manager (TM) will hold overall responsibility for selling the diabetes portfolio and achieving sales targets in line with the UK Sales and Marketing strategy. This is a strategic account development role, involving identifying and liaising with key decision-makers and influencers. The TM will work closely with the Technical Consultant and District Sales Manager to ensure successful business growth within the defined territory.

You will cover areas from Gloucester, Bristol, Bath, Exeter to Cornwall, so you must reside in the area and be comfortable with regular travel across the region.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

1. Responsible for the overall selling and promotion of the diabetes product portfolio, ensuring meticulous execution of activities.
2. Design and develop innovative local implementation plans to build partnerships with key stakeholders.
3. Identify and maximize relationships with multiple stakeholders to develop key decision-makers and influencers within the territory.
4. Collaborate with all key business functions to overcome capacity barriers and grow business in targeted accounts.
5. Develop and implement business plans to expand growth in this sector using innovation and sales expertise.
6. Influence key decision-making criteria in favor of Medtronic therapies, including addressing risks and concerns.
7. Utilize basic proficiency in health economics, reimbursement, and tender processes, with the potential to influence decision-maker criteria for impactful outcomes.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

1. Bachelor's or Master’s degree.
2. Sales experience in the medical, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry.
3. Willingness and ability to travel with a clean driving record.
4. Strong business acumen, analytical, and selling skills.
5. Interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
6. Enthusiastic, driven, and innovative approach to business.
