Terminology Business Development Manager

What you’ll achieve

As a Business Development Manager you will be part of the execution of business strategy for the terminology/metadata services business focusing on promoting and selling our market leading SaaS based terminology portfolio, utilising your proven sales skills and creativity to build relationship with new and existing customers.

Working with an extended highly skilled team, you will be making a profound impact throughout the healthcare sector.

You will:

  • Identify and establish strong working relationships with new and existing customers
  • Manage complex sales projects from initial engagement and scoping, stakeholder mapping and insights, through to opportunity development.
  • Lead strategic planning sessions to ensure clear and consistent direction across all customer engagement and bid activities; facilitates discussion and provides structure and input into results.
  • Identify and grow new business areas / business model opportunities, including outside of current portfolio.
  • To keep up to date with current products and clinical trends in order to establish long term market and customer strategies.
  • Together with the Sales Manager, to engage with public and Private Sector customers to identify and pursue business opportunities

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in accounting, finance, business administration, technical or clinical field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and clients.
  • Good analytical and strategic problem-solving skills
  • High level of technical awareness of challenges of data quality and consistency in healthcare.
  • Ability to competently plan and organise in order to achieve short and longer-term objectives.
