We invest in people and their development as well as R&D to drive innovation in products, technologies, and operational excellence. We have sites in the UK and Amsterdam. Our Oil Terminal is a highly regulated COMAH site, located close to our Pre-Treatment and Biodiesel Plants at Stanlow.

Main Purpose of Job

The Terminal Operator will work as part of a shift team ensuring the effective transfer of fuel components in and out of our Oil Terminal. They will also ensure the operation of steam generation and distribution to necessary site facilities.

What you will do

  1. Oversee the safe loading and discharge of fuel components into and out of AOT.
  2. Undertake control room duties including alarm management in line with COMAH requirements and updating operating logs and reports.
  3. Monitor and operate the Biomass facility to ensure consistent operation and environmental compliance.
  4. Follow the blend plan for all product movements from ships, tankers, vessels, pipelines in and out of the site, in line with procedures.
  5. Carry out daily sampling, inspections, and shift checks to ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
  6. Carry out planned preventative maintenance on operational equipment.

  2. Strong team player with a positive can-do attitude.
  3. Good communication skills for dealing with external contractors and hauliers.
  4. Role model for driving HSE compliance in self and others.
  5. Demonstrates high standard of housekeeping.
  6. Able to remain calm under pressure when workload peaks.

Specific Experience and Qualifications required:

  1. Experience of fuel handling (desirable).
  2. Experience of fuel bulk storage (desirable).
  3. Experience on COMAH sites (advantageous).
  4. Health & safety qualification (desirable).
  5. NVQ in process operations (desirable).
  6. Good standard of Maths & English GCSE passes.
  7. IT literate.
  8. ERP experience (desirable).
  9. Excel skills for data input.
  10. Fork Lift Truck (desirable).
  11. Confined Space training (training will be given).
  12. First Aid training (training will be given).
