Job summary

Ysgol Hendy in Llanelli is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 3 to support learning and development, providing one-to-one and group assistance under the guidance of the class teacher. The role is a temporary, term-time position with two terms initially and potential extension.

You will assist with lesson planning, monitor progress, and communicate with teachers and parents. Welsh language ability is required at Level 4, and a DBS check will be carried out.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate a genuine commitment to supporting children's education and development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, teachers and parents.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to a busy classroom environment.
• Willingness to engage with Welsh language duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with lesson planning and preparation.
• Provide one-to-one support and group assistance to students during lessons and activities.
• Help create a positive and nurturing learning environment.
• Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and work well in a team.
