Job summary

Holroyd Howe is looking for a passionate Sous Chef to join our catering team at a prestigious private college. This is a term-time role, offering 40 weeks per year with a salary up to £30,000 per year and shifts aligned to the academic calendar.

You will support the Head Chef with menu planning, food preparation, service and maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation for students aged 3-18, staff and guests. Term pattern alternates each term.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef
• Strong leadership and teamworking skills
• Passion for fresh, well-presented food
• Knowledge of food safety, allergens, and hygiene standards

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in menu planning and food preparation
• Oversee service and maintain high standards of presentation
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
• Work in a busy catering environment and manage staff when needed
