Job summary

Brightwork Limited is recruiting for Term Time School & Nursery Cleaners to work across Glasgow and surrounding areas. Joining initially on a temporary basis, with a strong chance of permanency for the right workers.

Due to the regulated environments, candidates must have PVG membership or be willing to apply; PVG costs will be payable by the successful candidate. You will clean and maintain areas, use cleaning tools safely, manage waste, restock supplies, and report hazards.

Qualifications

• Cleaning experience is beneficial but training will be provided.
• Recent Food Safety Level 2 certification would be advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Friendly and confident interacting with children and staff.
• Understanding of basic food and personal hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain designated areas including floors, bathrooms, kitchens, offices, and classrooms.
• Operate cleaning tools and products safely and responsibly.
• Empty bins and manage waste per guidelines.
• Restock cleaning supplies and alert supervisors when stock runs low.
• Ensure all equipment is stored safely after use.
• Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues.
• Follow schedules and complete tasks within allotted time.
• Work as part of a team or independently, depending on location.
• Maintain good hygiene and cleanliness standards in line with guidelines.

Please note, that due to the regulated nature of these working environments, the successful candidates will be required to have a current PVG membership or be willing to apply for membership. Any PVG applications or updates would be payable by the successful candidate.

Our Perfect Worker

Experience within a cleaning role is beneficial but not necessary as full training will be provided. However, a recent Food Safety Level 2 certificate would be advantageous.

• Have a basic understanding of food and personal hygiene standards
