Job summary

St Aloysius' College in Glasgow is seeking a qualified School Nurse to provide proactive nursing support for pupils during term time. The role is Mon–Fri daytime, 35 hours per week across 38 weeks per year, with no night shifts.

The successful applicant will manage the Medical Centre, advise on medical issues, and help promote pupil health and safeguarding. Registration with NMC and current CPD updates are essential, with experience in child health preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC PIN and CPD updates.
• Experience in child health, ideally in a school setting.
• Ability to exercise clinical judgement.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Medical Centre and advise on medical issues relating to pupils' health and welfare.
• Provide competent nursing care, first aid and health promotion for pupils and staff.
• Maintain safeguarding and health records with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Work Monday to Friday daytime during term time (no night shifts).
