Job summary

Warrington Borough Council is recruiting Catering Supervisors for Warrington’s Primary Schools. The role covers lunchtime service for 100–200 meals daily within a set budget, including ordering, cooking and serving healthy meals with fresh ingredients, and supervising staff.

Excellent organisational and communication skills are required, with DBS clearance and right to work in the UK. Term-time hours vary by school kitchen and meals served, with training and progression opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Proven track record of large-scale catering (preferably in an education environment).
• Ability to manage a team of kitchen assistants.
• City & Guilds 705, 706/1 & 2 or NVQ and a current food hygiene certificate.

Responsibilities

• Order food; prepare, cook and serve healthy meals using fresh ingredients.
• Supervise staff and handle service-related administration and records in line with policies.
