Job summary

Woodlands Academy in Grimsby is seeking a Lunch Assistant to join our supportive team. The role is permanent, 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday during term time, with a salary scale of HLT Scale 1a, point 3 (£24,796) and an actual salary of £5,560.

You will help serve lunches, supervise pupils during breaks, and promote wellbeing and safety while engaging children in suitable activities. Start date is ASAP and closing date is 4 September 2026.

Qualifications

• Reliable and committed individuals who are approachable, professional, flexible and reliable.
• Able to work as part of a team as well as independently.

Responsibilities

• You will serve lunches and supervise children during the lunch break in dining, playground and circulation areas.
• Engage children in appropriate activity and intervene to maintain behaviour, safety and welfare.
