Job summary

Cherry Lane is recruiting for a School Meals Supervisory Assistant to join our lunchtime team. The role involves supervising pupils during lunch, assisting in the dining hall and playground, and promoting healthy eating in a supportive school environment.

The successful candidate will be reliable, patient, and able to work well in a team, with duties that require effective communication with staff and pupils. DBS checks and two referees are required. Term-time pattern applies.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Ability to supervise pupils during lunch periods.
• Willingness to undergo safeguarding checks including DBS and references.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during the lunch period.
• Assist children in the dinner hall while eating lunch.
• Supervise children in the playground after lunch.
• Encourage healthy eating and safe play activities.
• Engage children in play and maintain a positive lunchtime environment.
