Job summary

Westcott Primary School in Hull is seeking 1 Catering Assistant to join the HCAT Catering Team. The role is 12.5 hours per week across five days, term-time (195 days) on a permanent contract, at NJC Scale Point 3 (£7,433.52 actual salary).

You will assist with food preparation, counter service, cleaning, and other duties under the Cook and Catering Supervisor. A team-oriented candidate with catering experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a similar environment is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ideally prior food handling experience.
• Willingness to assist with food preparation, counter service and cleaning duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and counter service.
• Carry out general cleaning duties as required by the Cook and Catering Supervisor.
• Support the catering team and adhere to kitchen hygiene standards.
