Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a General Kitchen Assistant at Colton Hills Community School in Wolverhampton. The role offers 12.71 per hour and 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 11:30am-2:00pm. It is a term-time-only, 38 weeks, permanent part-time contract with a supportive school kitchen team.

You’ll help with food prep, service and maintaining hygiene, in a friendly environment that values teamwork and quality service.

Qualifications

• Positive and reliable attitude.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a busy environment and prioritise tasks.
• Previous catering or food service experience is helpful but not essential; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages.
• Maintain clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and dining areas.
• Replenish food displays and service counters as required.
• Support deliveries and store supplies appropriately.
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures.
• Provide a friendly and helpful service to customers, colleagues or visitors.
