Job summary

Latchmere School in Kingston upon Thames is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to work 20 hours per week term time only (38 weeks + 5.6 weeks paid holiday, 43.6 weeks paid across 12 monthly payments). You will assist in meal prep, maintain cleanliness, and ensure food safety standards are met. Experience in a kitchen and strong communication are valued.

Qualifications

• Catering qualification required or preferred.
• Experience in a kitchen is advantageous.
• Knowledge of food safety policies and procedures required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Kitchen staff in preparing meals.
• Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas.
• Assist with stock management and ordering supplies.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen.
• Assist with dishwashing and cleaning duties as needed.
