Job summary

St Clare's Primary School is seeking a Catering Assistant to join a busy school kitchen. The role is 17.5 hours per week during term time, Monday to Friday from 10:30am to 2:00pm, with duties including cleaning, hygiene, and assisting with meal service for pupils and staff.

Experience in catering is desirable; training will be provided. The successful applicant will need to complete a Hygiene and Food Handling course if not already qualified.

Qualifications

• Catering experience is desirable, training would be provided for the right candidate.
• A Hygiene and Food Handling course is required unless you already hold a current qualification.

Responsibilities

• Clean equipment, floors, fixtures and fittings, and cooking utensils as directed.
• Maintain high standards of personal and general cleanliness and hygiene to comply with regulations.
• Assist with serving school meals when required.
