Job summary

Ridgeway Primary Academy is seeking a Catering Assistant to support daily meal service during term time. The role involves basic food prep, assisting with cooking, and serving meals to pupils, with duties including setting up and clearing dining areas and maintaining cleanliness.

The position is temporary until 20 July 2027, 10 hours per week plus holiday clean-down time. It requires reliability, teamwork, and good hygiene practices in a school environment.

Qualifications

• Basic preparation of food and beverages.
• Basic cooking under supervision.
• Transporting and serving meals.
• Setting up and clearing away service points and dining equipment and furniture.
• Washing up.
• Cleaning kitchen, dining area, access areas and furniture equipment.
• Movement of dining furniture.
• Other related duties as directed.

Responsibilities
