Job summary

Ridgeway Primary Academy in Chasetown is seeking a Catering Assistant to support daily meal service and basic food preparation. The role is term-time only, 10 hours per week with extra down time during holidays. Work pattern is 12:00–14:00 Monday to Friday, with 2 hours daily for prep and cleaning.

Qualifications

• Basic preparation of food and beverages.
• Basic cooking under supervision.
• Transporting and serving meals.
• Setting up and clearing away service points and dining equipment and furniture.
• Washing up and maintaining kitchen/dining cleanliness.
• Movement of dining furniture and related duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals during school mealtimes.
• Assist with basic food preparation and hygiene.
• Clear away dining areas and wash utensils after service.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean and tidy.
