Job summary

SIPS Education Limited is recruiting for General Kitchen Assistants to support school kitchens across Sandwell, Dudley and Birmingham. You will assist with menus, serve meals, and ensure hygiene standards are met.

The role is a 10-hour per week term-time contract with DBS clearance and an emphasis on safeguarding. Salary details reflect Band 2 SCP 1 and an actual salary range provided.

Qualifications

• Fluent spoken English is an essential requirement.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is required.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and serving of menu items.
• Serve and assist customers with food choices.
• Wash up kitchen and dining equipment; clean premises and dining areas.
• Work within Food Hygiene Regulations and Health & Safety regulations.
• Assist in the training of new staff.
• Deputise for the Unit Manager after completing training.
• Attend training courses during term time or school holidays as required.
