North Yorkshire Council in Great Ayton is seeking a dedicated School Crossing Patrol officer to help keep children and adults safe on their daily school journeys. This part-time role offers short daily hours during term time.

New recruits receive comprehensive training, a DBS check, and access to the local government pension scheme. Duties include stopping traffic with the STOP sign, performing site safety checks, and reporting hazards.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure safe crossing for children and pedestrians during patrol times
• Stop traffic using the official STOP sign
• Conduct pre-duty health and safety checks of the crossing site
• Report hazards or equipment issues to the Patrol Officer
• Wear and maintain approved uniform and equipment
