Job summary

The Cambian Chesham House School in Bury, Greater Manchester is hiring a School Cook/Cleaner on a permanent, full-time basis. The role offers a term-time salary of £16,828 per annum for 30 hours per week.

As the school cook you will manage daily kitchen operations, prepare lunches and dinners for students including those on restrictive diets, control budgets and stock, plan menus, and maintain health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Cook duties: manage daily kitchen operations, ensure lunches and dinners meet high standards for students, some on restrictive diets, staff and visitors.
• Kitchen management: supervise kitchen team, budget, stock control, menu planning, promote health, safety and hygiene, attend and support training.
• Cleaner duties: clean various parts of the property to maintain a safe, hygienic and pleasant environment for students.
• Team cleaning: work with others to ensure offices and communal areas are cleaned to a high standard following health and safety policies.
