Job summary

The Hathaway Academy in Grays, Essex, part of Academy Transformation Trust, is seeking a Cleaning Operative to undertake day-to-day cleaning and sanitisation of the building, ensuring Health & Safety compliance.

This term-time role is 10 hours per week, 44 weeks per year, with duties including routine cleaning, operating equipment, and teamwork with the Catering Supervisor and SLT; enhanced DBS will be required.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience in similar environments.
• Basic cleaning methods and use of equipment.
• Good literacy and numeracy.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day cleaning and sanitisation of the building and facilities.
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and be supported by the Catering Supervisor and SLT.
