The Kings School, Chester is looking for a Catering Supervisor to oversee daily catering operations and lead a team in delivering excellent service for pupils, staff and visitors.

Based at The Kings School in Cheshire, the role offers term-time hours, 35 per week, with pay of £13.30 per hour. The position emphasizes strong food hygiene, teamwork and adaptable, customer-focused hospitality.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, catering or events.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to lead, motivate and support a team during busy service periods.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and adapts to changing priorities.
• Good understanding of food hygiene, allergen awareness and health & safety.
• Flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends for school events.
• Experience in education/independent school environment advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day catering operation to ensure excellent food service and customer satisfaction.
• Lead, motivate and support the catering team to deliver high standards.
• Collaborate with the General Catering Manager and Head Chef for smooth daily services and events.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health & safety and allergen management.
• Deliver a warm, welcoming hospitality experience for pupils, staff, visitors and guests.
• Support planning and delivery of school functions, conferences and hospitality events.
• Promote teamwork, provide on-the-job training and encourage continuous improvement.
