Job summary

Miquill is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our school dining team in Wallingford. You will deliver friendly customer service and help prepare nutritious meals from fresh ingredients, Monday to Friday with no weekend shifts.

The role is term-time, 38 weeks per year, at 12.5 hours per week, paying £12.71 per hour. Full training provided; DBS enhanced disclosure required.

Qualifications

• A friendly and versatile personality, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional Customer Service skills—you love interacting with people!
• Previous catering experience is a bonus, but training is provided for the right person!
• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety practices.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is preferred, but not essential, as full training will be provided!

Responsibilities

• Working as part of a dynamic team to create a fun and unique dining experience for students and staff
• Assisting with preparing and serving our delicious meals.
• Operating Tills (full training provided)
• Ensuring a sparkling clean kitchen environment at all times
• Strictly adhering to all safety guidelines, including Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policy
