Job summary

Old Swinford Services Limited is seeking part-time, term-time Catering Assistants to deliver a professional catering service, maintaining standards and meeting the School's expectations.

Hours are 20/30 per week for 37 weeks (term time) with shifts mornings or evenings and some weekend work. The role pays the National Living Wage (£12.71/hr) plus statutory holiday pay. Equal opportunities are observed, and safeguarding checks apply.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a catering environment desirable.
• Knowledge of basic catering practices.
• Reliable and punctual with good communication.

Responsibilities

• To ensure all food is presented and served in line with School standards; use innovative presentation and service.
• Meet service objectives in line with client expectations.
• Treat the team at location with respect and professionalism.
• Prepare fresh food and serve meals with correct portion control.
• Ensure food safety for pupils, including special diets.
• General kitchen duties (washing up, cleaning floors, walls and equipment).
• Prepare serving and dining areas; laund ering of kitchen towels/clothes; clean dining furniture.
• Maintain health and safety compliance and good communication with colleagues, pupils and visitors.
• Be organized, meet deadlines, and work under pressure; carry out duties requested by Catering Manager or Bursar.
