Job summary

Aspens Services Ltd., a market-leading school catering provider, is seeking an Area Catering Assistant in Birmingham. You will support kitchens in your area with basic food preparation and deliver friendly service during the lunchtime rush.

You should be a team player with catering or fast-paced service experience, a basic knowledge of health and safety, and ideally hold a Food Hygiene Level 2. Driving licence is required. This role is term-time, 25 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Team player with ability to work in a busy school catering environment.
• Experience in catering or fast-paced service.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices; training provided if needed.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is desirable but not essential; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Customer interaction on the till during service.
• Front-line service to students and staff.
• Assist with basic food preparation.
• Maintain a safe, clean kitchen environment meeting health and safety standards.
