Job summary

Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer, is seeking a talented Pastry Chef to join the Brentwood School kitchen. You will produce a range of high-quality pastries, breads and desserts, supporting the culinary operation and adding a distinctive flair to the school’s food offering.

You will join a team of seasoned professionals dedicated to safe allergen management, superior presentation and inspiring menus for pupils, staff and guests.

Qualifications

• Experience as pastry chef in contract catering, hotel, or high-end food service.
• Passion for pastry with creativity in menu development.
• Strong attention to detail and presentation.
• Solid food safety and allergen management knowledge.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a school environment with young people.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop pastry offer across home baking and desserts.
• Ensure production, standards, costs and menu planning are timely.
• Manage section operations for smooth running.
• Assist with food orders and developing new concepts.
• Plan, prepare, cook and present to required standards.
• Uphold company reputation for excellent food and service.
