Job summary

Westlands Academy in Thornaby, Stockton on Tees, is seeking a dedicated Parent Support Adviser and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. The role focuses on building strong relationships with families, providing practical guidance and coordinating safeguarding and early intervention support to help students thrive.

You will work with staff, families and external partners to raise attendance, well-being and engagement, while leading safeguarding duties and supporting Leaders to embed Trust

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding and working with families
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to build positive relationships with parents, carers and professionals
• Knowledge of Early Help and safeguarding procedures

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and home-based support to families
• Identify vulnerable students and coordinate Early Help
• Improve attendance and well-being
• Promote student achievement and engagement
• Strengthen parental partnerships and support Leading Parent Partnership Award
• Lead safeguarding duties as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
• Collaborate with leaders and external agencies
