Term-Time Room Leader

It is my pleasure to announce that we are working on behalf of a quality day nursery near Leicester. This stimulating and caring environment is looking for an experienced Term-Time Room Leader to lead the practice in their Toddler Room.

The successful applicant must have a minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification or equivalent, possess genuine passion for childcare, and have experience in a lead role. They should understand that each child is unique and strive to ensure each child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the planning of activities tailored to children's needs and interests, ensuring implementation across the nursery.
  2. Ensure children are cared for to the highest standards.
  3. Observe and assess children's progress, leading on this across the preschool.
  4. Follow health and safety requirements, report concerns, and maintain safety for children in all areas.
  5. Understand safeguarding responsibilities and report concerns appropriately.
  6. Act as a role model for staff, leading practice and supporting professional development.
  7. Promote learning through the curiosity approach, developing an environment that fosters curiosity, awe, and wonder.
  8. Support staff in meeting the needs of children with special needs and/or disabilities.
  9. Support assistants' learning and skill development while working.
