Job summary

Etherley Lane Nursery and Primary School in Bishop Auckland is seeking a dedicated Lunchtime Supervisor for a permanent, part-time role (7.5 hours per week, 11:30–13:00), term time only. This post is paid alongside school terms and you will start as soon as possible.

You will supervise pupils in the dining hall and playground, lead play activities, support behaviour management, and ensure safety and welfare at lunchtime. A DBS check and clear spoken English are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children.
• Flexible and team-oriented.
• Willing to undertake training.
• Ability to converse in English with customers; accurate spoken English essential.

Responsibilities

• supervise pupils during lunchtime and provide a safe, stimulating and fun range of indoor and outdoor activities for the pupils during lunch time
• lead the Lunchtime Supervisory Assistants in organising a range of play activities appropriate to the needs of the children
• support school behaviour management by supervising areas of the school during lunchtimes
• the post holder will be responsible for the safety, welfare and good behaviour of pupils during lunchtime
• to abide by the school policies and procedures including equality procedures
