Job summary

Walton Academy invites applications for a Midday Supervisor to support pupils aged 11–18 during lunch. You will supervise in the dining hall and outdoor areas, help maintain a clean and orderly space, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere.

Working hours are 5 hours 50 minutes during term-time, 12:50pm–2:00pm daily. The role suits both new entrants and experienced staff, with safeguarding responsibilities central to the position.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safeguarding of children.
• Ability to build positive relationships with young people.
• Calm, patient and firm communication with pupils.
• Teamwork and the ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up dining areas and supervise lunch in the dining hall and outdoor areas.
• Monitor pupil safety and wellbeing during mealtimes.
• Help keep dining spaces clean and tidy before, during and after lunch.
• Contribute to a welcoming, positive environment for students aged 11–18.
