Job summary

Sheffield Hallam University is seeking a dedicated nursery assistant to support early years development within a vibrant, community-focused setting. The role is term-time only (37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year) and offers a pro rata salary between £27,241 and £27,865 depending on experience.

You will work with EYFS-based activities, foster strong relationships with families, and collaborate with a friendly team while engaging in ongoing professional development and safeguarding routines.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 full and relevant childcare qualification
• Knowledge of EYFS
• Enhanced DBS check required and safeguarding procedures

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning through play and activities.
• Maintain stimulating indoor and outdoor environments.
• Provide practical and domestic support for nursery upkeep.
• Foster positive relationships with parents and children.
• Collaborate with a friendly, experienced team and participate in CPD.
