Job summary

Upperwood Academy is seeking a reliable part-time Cleaner during term-time, with some half-term working. Rate £12.71 per hour. You will work 13.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday 4:30pm – 7:15pm.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors and rooms, emptying bins, maintaining restrooms, and ensuring sanitation stations are stocked. The successful candidate will demonstrate cleaning experience, basic site health and safety knowledge, and strong communication while working independently.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience or caretaking experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic site health & safety.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with on-site clients.
• Confident working independently and using initiative.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning floors and rooms (dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming).
• Emptying bins and cleaning restrooms; ensuring sanitation stations are stocked.
• Build relationships with clients on site and report defects or damages.
• Follow health and safety at all times.
