Job summary

Richard Huish College is seeking a reliable Catering Assistant to join our team in Taunton. You will provide a high-quality food service to students and staff, handle till cash, and maintain logs for allergens and safety. The role is 30 hours per week, term time only, with shifts 08:30 to 14:30, Monday to Friday.

Flexibility for weekend cover at the Boarding house is required. A full driving licence is essential, and the successful candidate will support health and safety and food hygiene

Qualifications

• Experience of high standards within a food service environment.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work flexibly.
• Full driving licence is required.
• Term-time only availability and willingness to cover some weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving food and beverages.
• Operating the till and cash handling procedures.
• Providing excellent customer service to students and staff.
• Completing logs for allergens, temperature, food prep, transport, cleaning and wastage.
• Maintaining clean and tidy service areas; adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Covering some weekend shifts at Boarding house on a rota basis.
