Job summary

St Elizabeth's Centre is seeking a Catering Assistant for term-time only at Much Hadham, Hertfordshire. You will help provide efficient, friendly food service for residents, students, staff and visitors.

You'll assist with food prep and service, keep dining areas clean, operate the till, handle payments, and maintain high hygiene standards in a busy catering environment.

This role offers term-time hours, on-site parking, DBS clearance, a contributory pension and Blue Light Card eligibility.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality or food service is desirable
• Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and HACCP requirements
• Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• Ability to work well as part of a team whilst also using own initiative

Responsibilities

• Keeping food, drinks, confectionery and service areas fully stocked and well presented
• Provide friendly and helpful customer service to residents, students, staff and visitors
• Maintaining clean, welcoming dining and restaurant areas throughout service
• Operating the till and processing payments accurately
• Maintaining high levels of food hygiene, cleanliness and personal presentation
