Job summary

Miquill is seeking a friendly Catering Assistant to join our school kitchen team in Ashton-under-Lyne. You’ll deliver excellent customer service while assisting in preparing nutritious meals from fresh ingredients for students and staff.

Work Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day with no late nights, and 39 weeks per year aligned to the school term. Training is provided, with opportunities to grow alongside our dedicated Learning & Development team.

Qualifications

• Friendly, versatile personality capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional customer service and people skills.
• Training provided for catering; prior experience is a bonus.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 preferred, but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a dynamic team to create a lively dining experience for students and staff.
• Assist with preparing and serving meals.
• Operate tills (full training provided).
• Ensure a sparkling clean kitchen environment at all times.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines, including Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policy.
