Job summary

Mead Vale Community Primary School seeks a part-time after school club assistant to support safe, engaging activities for children aged 4–11. This role is term-time only, 11 hours 45 minutes per week, with a pattern of Monday to Thursday 3:15pm–5:45pm and Friday 3:15pm–5:00pm.

You will work closely with the after school club and school team to create a positive environment, supervise pupils, assist with snacks, and help maintain attendance records while upholding safeguarding and GDPR policies.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of after school activities and creative play.
• Supervise children and ensure a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
• Collect pupils from classrooms and assist with snacks and drinks.
• Set up, pack away, and safely store play equipment and resources.
• Maintain positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and staff.
• Support accurate attendance and departure records.
• Report safeguarding, behaviour or health and safety concerns per policy.
• Follow school, trust, safeguarding, GDPR and child protection procedures.
